What is We Need Good Food?
We make premium frozen ramen and noodles in the UK. Every pack is a complete bowl for two: broth, noodles and toppings frozen together as one cake, in seven Asian-inspired flavours. We built it because the real thing was missing. Read our story →
What do I get in a pack?
A whole bowl for two (710g to 810g, depending on the flavour). Inside is a frozen cake in three layers: broth at the base, noodles in the middle, toppings on top, so it all heats together. No sachets, no assembly, no faff. See how the layers work →
What flavours are there?
Seven, and they're all different: Singaporean Seafood Laksa Ramen, Japanese Tonkotsu Pork Ramen, Thai Beef Boat Noodles, Korean Rosé Jjamppong Udon, Thai Green Curry Udon (V), Sichuan Spicy Beef Rice Noodles and Malaysian Coconut Chicken Ramen. Have a rummage through the range →
Which flavour should I try first?
Start with the Singaporean Seafood Laksa Ramen. It's one of our best sellers and won a Great Taste award in 2026. Want zero heat? Japanese Tonkotsu Pork Ramen and Malaysian Coconut Chicken Ramen are zero spice. Grab one in our Noodle Corner →
What if there's a flavour I want that you don't have?

How do I cook it?
Straight from frozen. On the hob: remove all packaging, put the ramen in an 8-inch saucepan, heat on high, cover and bring to the boil, stirring now and then so everything is submerged. After about 8 minutes, once thoroughly heated, serve. In the microwave: remove all packaging, put it in a large microwave-safe bowl and heat on 800 W for 8 minutes, stir well, then cook for another 6 minutes and let it stand for 1 minute. See the steps (and the video) →
Do I need to add water?
Nope. The broth is already built in. If you fancy a lighter broth, add a splash of hot water to adjust the richness. Full cooking guide →
How long does it take?
About 8 minutes on the hob, or about 14 minutes in the microwave (800 W), straight from frozen. How to cook it →
Do I need to defrost it first?
No. It is made to be heated straight from frozen, so skip the defrosting. How to cook it →
Is there a vegetarian or vegan option?
Vegetarian, yes: the Thai Green Curry Udon (V) is our vegetarian bowl. Vegan, not at the moment. That one contains milk, and our other six flavours contain meat, fish or shellfish. Get it in our Noodle Corner →
Is there a gluten free option?
Not at this time, as every flavour currently contains wheat. But we're looking into a gluten free option for the future. Tell us what you want →
What allergens are in it?
Different flavours have different allergens, so it's worth checking the one you're eyeing. Pick a flavour in the range and open "see the full details" for its allergens and full ingredients. And always check the label on your pack before eating. Go to the range →
Do any flavours contain peanuts?
Only the Singaporean Seafood Laksa Ramen. Check the label on your pack if you have a nut allergy.
How spicy is it?
Every flavour has its own spice meter, from zero spice to properly fiery, so there's a bowl for every taste. Find your level →
